The Festival is proving very popular & we are particularly looking for low brass & percussion players. All other instruments may apply, but we are now operating a waiting list.
We’re delighted to welcome you back to The Queen at Chester Hotel, a Best Western Premier Collection hotel.
It is a ten-minute walk from Chester city centre and located opposite the railway station. This landmark hotel has had a roll call of famous guests and boasts an illustrious past. A magnificent Italianate building, it was said to be the first skyscraper of its time, and has been home to some rather famous guests.
The 2024 Wind Band Festival promises all the usual exciting events; challenging music (particularly with a ‘Countries of the World’ theme); the opportunity to see old friends and make new ones; good food; and great entertainment.
The Friday evening will be your chance (if you wish) to dress up to match the theme. Saturday evening engage in creating our own cabaret and entertainment (both if you wish).
Residents – £245 WBA member, £270 non-member – Single Room Supplement of £82.50
Inclusive of all music-making, entertainment, 2 night’s dinner, bed & breakfast, buffet lunch on Saturday & Sunday.
Non-residents – £110 WBA member, £135 non-member
Inclusive of all music-making, entertainment, Friday evening meal & Saturday buffet lunch.
